New forum is coming. We'd like your input...

Hi all

I'm Chad and I will be working with Lisa, Betty and you to help create the AllAboutRecoveryNetwork.com forums and website. The vain forums, in their current form, are reaching their limits on the system and need to be upgraded to accommodate the growing membership and content.

With this upgrade will be some new features:
*topic oriented message board
*user profiles
*private messaging
*Private chat room
*enhanced security and privacy

We're interested to hear what other features you'd like to see on the new site. We'd also like your opinions in topics/sections for the new message board.

the new forum does not let me log on with my username and password it also does not recognise my email address to send me a login. Do I need to start over and register here? I cant see where to do that.

It's faithinthefuture I was trying to upload a pic on the new site and it says I'm not registered to do that. But I am! I can get and write messages. I am rather stupid when it comes to this stuff so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

i notice when i go the new forum..1 i am always the only one on there,2 the are lots of guests3 a page says you are not allowed to acsess this page....so cos i thought that board was private why are guests on there... and why am i not allowed to acsess a certain page.....so could you explain in what way it is private...can any body on the internet see it as well,? because otherwise how did the guests get on there.. i am not computer literate, so is it complicated or is it me not bieng able to grasp it....and today when i pressed chat...nothing happens.

It may be the case that when your on hon, you are the only person at that time logged in. People are on and off daily but we are still in testing mode so it is not fully functioning as of yet. There is a private forum located in relationship forums section. This area is private and you must be a paid registered member to have access. (your access is free for now). In this section guest members reading will not be able to access this area. It is strictly private to our members only. I know this will take some time to get use to. We have been driving a compact car and now were bumping up to full size and this takes an adjustment period to get use to the feel and maneuverability. Lots more features but once you get it, you will never want to go back. If you need private assistance please let me know and I will spend some time walking you through it. xoxo only one way to go...Forward (tm?)

Hey, hello everyone... Allaboutrecoverynetwork.com is still in beta mode. No payment gateways are ready for payment until the launch is announced in a few weeks. !Please do not enter any creditcard numbers while in beta/test mode! In the meantime, if you wish to reserve a username you may register a new account. Anyone that registers a new account should choose the first option: FREE STANDARD MEMBERSHIP. You will be able to upgrade once we have the payment gateways setup and secured. I will be checking in every now and then. I just tried to register on the new site, but I haven't received the email to complete the registration--I did try to log in again, it didn't work. (I did check my spam box in my email, there was nothing there, either.......) So, what should I do next? I hafta admit, I'm a little bit of a techno-peasant, so some of this is over my head...

for taking the time---it's appreciated. I tried to login there again today, I got the same message that my registration was not yet complete--I don't know if I should start over again or not--hopefully, I won't have to retype my story. Maybe it all fell into the nether regions of cyberspace??lol

I did just try again, I got the same response, that my registration was not complete. when you said "try again" ,did you mean for me to try to log-in again, or to register all over again? It's no big deal, if it takes a few days......I'm a very patient soul.........after all, I've been dealing with N's for years!!!lolololololol

Maybe it is not very important thing. I love the current forum graphic, but would it be possible to change the color? I absolutely love the color, however when i am at work and want to read it i think is to visible I am not working :)

I love the colors too on our current board. The new colors are not going to be the same however. They are more gender neutral in light olive and deep orange. Really cool too! I dont think it will be as obvious with your work noticing it. I think you will really like it though. Im just psyched about the instant messaging and private email...yessssssssss. That will be a big bonus for us. Also navigating through the forums will be much easier. Also having your own personal page where you can post your own blogs, videos and story is awesome. Its right around the corner just another month and a half and we will begin integration to the new site. We will be with you all every step of the way... :) only one way to go...Forward (tm?)

You will not be required to make a payment hon. You are part of AAH. Everyone here is getting free access to the site for a limited time on the premium membership. This includes all the upgrades of PM, IM etc.... Later when it applies, there will be a fee of 1.99 to continue with the premium membership. But you will get access to all premium benefits for free now b/c you are a member here. All members on AAH will receive this. The 1.99 basically pays for Chad and the upkeep of monthly monitoring and new members that are not affiliated with us will have to pay that in order to get the up graded services. The forum itself will remain free to all that want to join under standard membership (free membership). I know many are concerned about the fee. If you look at it like your buying Chad a cup of coffee per month to take care of your home its not so bad. lol. xoxo only one way to go...Forward (tm?)
