Silent treatment is the worst
Silent treatment is the worst
Hey all :) hope everyone is well, I've noticed a few new members on the forum that are early NC, horrible isn't it, I'm in the same boat but I hope you are all staying strong...
Anyway I'm going to be honest and I hope it puts any other fresh NC'ers off contacting their exes, I was doing well, I'd made it to 10 days, even changed my number but then I cracked and sent the following message last Thursday:
"Hi N, just wanted to apologise for how I handled things the other week, it wasn't really me, it's ok if you'd rather not reply, hope things are still coming along for you, take care, Rach X".
No response. nada. She also works at my gym, I'd considered changing but she's meant to be leaving next month, anyway I've tried braving it a couple of times and she's been there and it's been the you no longer exist/you're invisible/won't even look at you routine. My message is don't reach out, especially if you run the risk of being ignored. There is nothing worse than being made to feel you are insignificant or dead to the person you love (although not sure if its love or addiction), it isn't worth it. I've had to learn the hard way. I can be a silly girl sometimes, takes a while for the penny to drop with me, but if this experience can help others from making the same mistake then I hope it does because it stops you from getting over them and recovering. I've been trying to focus on my but this silent treatment has broken my heart, do not go there.
Stay strong peeps
