working on things

The one thing the narc used to say that drove me nuts was "sick of it we need to work on things"

WTF does that mean????? Damn it I want to know exactly. I never did get a straight answer. The answer to everything was "We need to work on things" Look Narc boy before I die I want a freakin detailed definition!

I swear if I ever hear that phrase again….. I will lose my f ing mind!!!

sick of it

Weird, that they all say the same. I heard that one too, but he never said "we". He always said, He needs to work on things. I figured out, this means us much as when they say "I am sorry that you feel bad", or "sorry that I hurted you". Empty words, to keep you on a hold.

YOU need to do all of the things that I want you to do or I will throw a big fricking fit and you will pay !! Cuz I am God and you are my servant, my slave, put here to feed my ego and pamper me until I am bored with you and then I will move on and you will become invisible to me !! Oh and the sick of it part it---*stomp* *stomp* you are not hearing me !! You are not doing things MY way *stomp* *stomp* You are wrong and I am right *stomp* *stomp* That sound about right ??

Meaning

"I am sick" of this situation with YOU where YOU are not anticipating & gratifying my every need. "We have to work on things." = YOU have to do better to anticipate & gratify my every need.

Useless Narcs

Right after the D&D...he would say to me, " I'm afraid you're going to get mad at me and I am going to lose my best friend"......I was like, wtf are you talking about???? But he knew exactly what he meant! He had the benefit of how this was all going to turn out from the beginning. And as soon as I would start calling him on his weird disappearing act he said to me.."you're best off just thinking of me as a big dumb labrador". I'm sure another woman told him that is what he reminded them of and he chose to stick with it...cuz labs are so cute and cuddly and you forgive them when they are bad. What a big ass loser.

To Sherbear

Wow, I thought my exPDI was the only one who used the dog reference. He came right out and said it to me during our 2nd break up. I forgot what I said to him as he was walking out the door, on me and our relationship, but he replied "oh I"m a dog." And then, during our 3rd try at it, I noticed towards the end that he used to sit and lie down on the floor a lot. Then once when I was sitting on the floor he told me to get up and sit w/him on the couch; that he didn't like seeing me on the floor. There is something to this dog stuff! Maybe it's simply that they KNOW they are dogs?

SOI

Mine always said that too and I look at it as an excuse! It's just a freaking excuse because they are stupid and can't come up with anything else to justify their behavior or reason why the relationship is failing!!! "we need to work on things" MY ASS! Narc Boy needs to work on things!
