why i do not miss him

I do not miss the feeling of dread I felt when work was over and I knew he would be moaning about something when I got in.

I do not miss having to pretend everything is fine because showing any emotion is 'weak' and 'babyish.'

I do not miss apologising just to keep the peace or the horrible feeling I got when he said something horrible and then acted like nothing had happened.

I do not miss him flipping out for no obvious reason.

I do not miss him causing a scene in front of my work colleagues.

I do not miss him saying everything I did should be 'done like this.'

I do not miss him talking about wanting to have sex with other girls behind my back to his friends.

I do not miss him growing and smoking drugs behind my back.

I do not miss coming home from work to find the house still a mess and him sitting on his ass.

I do not miss having to watch his crappy 'grown up' cartoons.

I do not miss everything coming down to money. (and my money at that.)

I do not miss his aggressive overreactions, especially when drunk.

I do not miss being told my parents clearly didn't give me enough love and affection as a child and that's why I asked for it from him. No, asshole. People who love each other give affection! My parents did not starve me of affection, hence why I seek a NORMAL relationship, whereas your messed up, crack dealing narc mother treated you like shit and still does.

I do not miss him accusing me of cheating.

I do not miss the invasions of my privacy.

I do not miss him flinching when I touched him, even by accident.

I do not miss him forcing the cat to give him a high 5 before he gave him more food. Grow the fuck up and leave my cat alone!

I do not miss him moving everything and rearranging MY flat and giving me no choices.

I do not miss him not supporting me in difficult times. (but as he said, he's not my dad!)

I am sure I could go on. But i think its clear, i do not miss him. Not the reality of him at least. He is a drain of my energy and i am grateful he is thousands of miles away wooing some silly 22 year old.
