Why do they cost us to lose so much money

I am having a horrible day. It seems every time I try to stay positive about something, something happens to trigger or just make me so stressed or just plain upset. So I just got off the phone with my mechanic and found out that I have to get a whole new transmission for my car ( $2700 )....DAMN!! I can be wrong, but it just seems lilke my exN has just placed so much damn bad karma on my cars. I had two cars before. One I let him used for a year due to him not having a car and in need of one ( because his was stolen). Once he started driving that one, it started having all kind of mechancial problems ....which it NEVER had before. I paid and paid so much into that car getting it fixed. I finally just decided to sale it because I felt like I was wasting money. So now that left me with one car. He and I shared this car for the past year. Putting many many many mile on it ( again helping his ass out again)...sigh. He has given me a few dollars here and there to help out with the car, but nothing to compare to what I have already spent on these cars. So now that we are no longer together , now my primary and only car now neeeds a transmission... GO FIGURE! He kept promising and promising how he was going to buy a new car for me and help me out. Of course that promise never happened! I never had these kind of problems with my car unitl he came along and started using them. He has always had bad luck and things happening to him ( car stolen, car broken into, car repossed, car mechanical problems, etc)...and now all his bad karma and bad luck is still continue to trickle down and I 'm now left dealing with the residual damage. Ugh! I'm so upset right now. I was trying to have a good day today, but now find myself in tears ...its just always something!
