A text from an old narc

Well. The other night I got a text from a narc I dated in 2008 (not the one I'm still kind of in love with, a much older, much less attractive one). It was March 2008 and I had just broken up with an assclown (it was forced dumping - ie he was being suck a fuckwit that I couldn't keep it going any more) so was vulnerable. This older narc is always in the bar in work - he's there like clockwork every single day from about 4.30. He heads home around 6pm to have dinner with his two adopted children in his old family home (his wife threw him out because of his long-term gf). Anyway, he's great company, a great raconteur, etc etc, and we ended up getting drunk one night and going for dinner. He can't have kids but knew I wanted them and was all "I'd be so there for you - I'd drive you to the hospital and hold your hand in the delivery room" etc etc.

Anyway he begged me to come back to his house that night, which I did (it was so nice to feel wanted again after the assclown that I had to break up with) and we ended up in bed, blah blah blah. Anyway, we dated for about 2 months. I knew about the long-term gf in another town, but didn't much give a crap about her at the start. However once I started falling for him I started to not like the situation. He assured me that he was "so bored" with her and that even if he didn't break it off with her explicitly, it would "probably fizzle out" by itself. Turned out he hadn't the SLIGHTEST intention of ever breaking it off with her. He turned cold and dismissive on me after about 6 weeks. We exchanged nasty texts. I was so depressed that another relationship had fallen apart so soon after the previous assclown that I stayed off work for a week and didn't get out of bed. I sent him a text to say what a jerk he was and that it was over between us.

Anyway, the months went by and I made a point of totally blanking him any time I saw him in work. I dated some other people including the guy who's the reason I'm on this board. The result is that the thought of being with this older narc now makes my skin crawl. Which is a great position to be in. He's a very very successful and senior colleague and the kudos and status of being associated with that was nice for a while, plus as I say he was very good company and very funny. But sexually weird, again. Once he even asked me to pee in his mouth. I kid you not. What a freak. I refused point blank, of course.

Anyway. In came a text from him last Sunday night.
"Hi. Apologies in advance for sending this. Was listening to some music and remembered that we danced to it - or to be correct, u showed me how to dance to it. x and sorry to intrude. From [name]". I laughed to myself all night and took the greatest of pleasure in ignoring the FUCK out of it. Oh, the satisfaction. Oh, the vindication. How fucking DARE he text me two years on, with a kiss in it? Who the hell does this revolting creature think he is?

For those that are concerned that I will be sucked back in - I'd rather chew off my own arm than be with that dickhead again.
