Blocking with AT&T

Need to block potential hoovers or worse still, need to stop yourself from impulsive texting? Yep. I am now using 'parental controls' on my AT&T cellphone. It's great in that you can include 30 numbers and it blocks incoming and outgoing. If your N texts you he effectively gets ST from you without you even knowing of his attempt. The N calls are blocked as well and I assume that he will know that you blocked him. Yet again, you won't even know that he tried to make contact. Your lovely little smart phone stays a Narc free friendly device. Very smart indeed! http://www.att.net/s/editorial.dll?bfromind=19048&eeid=7626667&_sitecat=... Happy blocking..

Verizon

I didn't think they had it on mine either, but I called Verizon and there is an option on their website. You can add up to 10 numbers but it only last 90 days. The message they get (whether it is a text or phone call) is something along the lines of "Welcome to Verizon. This customer has restricted access and this call cannot be completed." I blocked all his numbers, even the general number at his work site so he couldn't get through from any extension. The block worked for a week and then I got two calls that I didn't answer, but when I did a reverse search on them, I found they were from a similar line of work. I called Verizon back and mentioned the situation and they then changed my number for free. Yes, it was a hassle but the joy I get imagining his anger and frustration should he try again thinking he is so smart -- PRICELESS. :))

Blueworld

That's what they told me but I didn't try it out. You can add a friend's number on the block list (it's effective immediately) and then give it a try. Then go back into the website and remove the number. I know for sure it works on the phone calls, but I know he hates being ignored (he used to tell me how angry he got when his ex didn't pick up the phone or return a text which I laugh about now -- I want to scream YOU GO GIRL) and if he THINKS he did get a text through and I didn't react, that would eat him up more but spare me the threat of reacting seeing it come through. :)

Classic Narc attack, from the "miss you" to the "poor me my job sucks" to the "wish you well". The holidays are a perfect excuse for the Narcs to Hoover. From now through Valentine's Day, the delete button is your best friend.

It's just pointless. We're not friends, I have no idea what he's up to, and the last time I saw him was a painful silent treatment from him the whole time, like I was invisible.

Give it right back, faith...

Delete, delete, delete (as The Mighty Huntress Says) and then BLOCK. NC = FU!!! He's the invisible one now! Hang in there and stay strong. YOu are doing great. He is showing his true colors as a classic, textbook disordered one. Yuck. There is nothing attractive about that! Most sincerely, (not) spinning. BECAUSE I'M NC FOREVER AND FOR GOOD!
