Read this! What the bible says about narcissism

Wow - i was just reading a christmas reading this weekend and came across this. it is the The Message translation.... amazing.... this passage was discussing the sins of putting yourself first which is narcissism; every read flag we have on bad behavior is listed below.

Galatians 5:19-21 (The Message)

19-21It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time (NARCISSISTIC CONTROL): repetitive, loveless, cheap sex (YUP); a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage (NARCSPEAK); frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness (LURING FOR THE FUN OF IT; LIVING FOR THE MOMENT); trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants (ALWAYS LOOKING FOR PERFECT LOVE); a brutal temper (NARC RAGE); an impotence to love or be loved (CANNOT LOVE AND SUSPECTS ANYONE WHO GIVES THEM LOVE); divided homes and divided lives (COMPARTMENTALIZING AND SECRET LIVES); small-minded and lopsided pursuits (ONE NIGHT STANDS); the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival (DEVALUE AND DISCARD AND TREATING OTHERS LIKE OBJECTS TO BE HATED); uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions (DRUG, SEX, PORNO, ETC); ugly parodies of community. I could go on.

This isn't the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God's kingdom.
