Question about Hoovers

Ok so many of you are posting about your exs Hoover attempts....so it got me thinking...I know what a Hoover is...know the meaning behind it...however what I am wondering is if they don't Hoover, does that mean their supply currently is great or that they know you saw through them and a Hoover would be a waste of time??? Or do these people Hoover regardless of the quality of their new supply because they still want to feel that they are important to us and still have control....it's really hard putting ourselves in their shoes to figure this out because healthy people don't do this...

Also, if the OW contacts you (like I told you all two days ago that the OW texted me) is that also considered a Hoover? We all know my ex was behind the OW texts to me....

I need all the knowledge I can get because that is what keeps me strong!!! Because I'm determined to change my life for me and change the script!!! As FreeMe just said, a Hoover brings about anxiety and uneasiness in me and actually elicits a fear in my body...I have blocked all avenues of communication but what holds me back just a little is living day by day thinking omg is he or she going to try somehow to contact me again...my brain knows he is dangerous and is letting my body know too...if her contact with me is considered a Hoover, and I did not respond, I just don't want I to happen again...he's my dilemma,,,should I have the police contact both him and her and warn them to leave me alone? I already have a report on him....or should I let sleeping dogs lie and see if it happens again...which I'm terrified of bc it puts me in a spin?
