Poll for those with silent treatment type narcs - how long before he returned?

The only indirect hoovers were when I picked at the scab? He's locked out now, don't know if that will mean anything ego is a biatch to these types. But he has a suitable supply so as long as she is docile, and a good doormat, I rest comfortably knowing that I no longer have anything to fear. It's such a pleasure realizing I wasn't good enough...*snicker* and she does get my prayers everynight. SHE REALLY DOES... Hugs

Well after 5 months of him not responding to me I sent him a text saying I was focusing on myself and getting more healthy and that if we were ever to have a relationship it would have to be from a healthier place. That I wasn't gonna contact him anymore and that if it was meant to be it will be if not it won't. I got back : just to let you know this is a business number not my private number. I'm getting married to a nice lady named jami in the fall. Good luck and take care of your family. Narc I have known this man since age 17 was in a 5 year relationship with him in my twenties. He tells me he will love me forever and that he wants a life with me the last time I spoke w him mid october he told me he would be here 1st week in november to spend some time with me. He was on match.com during this time and now 5 months later he's getting married???? I hope for your sake he doesn't break silent treatment. If he does it will only be to inflict more pain on you

My senior year, the ex-Psych prof didn't have my phone number, so I stopped getting crank calls. After the final D&D and meeting the girlfriend, he was BEGGING me for my phone number. (I should've quoted Oscar Wilde's "Love is a sacrament best received on one's knees") I REFUSED. I moved off-campus... and basically disappeared. Then I disappeared out of town, left the state. I have an unlisted number. It's been a dozen years since I called him.

its been a little over a month and he hasn't said anything to me, but I did tell him I have family in law enforcement (which I do) and found out about his criminal background, so i doubt I'll hear anything ........ with his drunk self

first two silent treatments I pursued him until he came back (6 weeks one time, one month the next). this time he moved away and only kept in touch sporadically, stopped calling 6 months ago, though he kept texting til New Years. So no word from him and he is getting alot of attention in new city both professionally and with new GF. Can't see why he would ever call and face the bad behavior when he is having so much mid-life fun. He would have to be really low or broke or worse to ever call. He cannot emotionally handle the damage he caused and he desperately wants to be known as a nice guy. Never mentioned we broke up.

and I am not sticking around to find out either, he is DEAD to me

5-6 months until he came back. He had another gf in between. There was scarce contact all along as I had no clue about his true self and we had tried staying "friends"

About 3 months each time, bizarrely. Almost like he has a little clock inside his head.

My situation is much different in that he was a married man cheating his wife with multiple women. And, I don't want him back. IT was hard enough finding out what he was really capable of. It was a totally different person than what he presented himself to be. I was in a fog for so long with CD. Really once we begin to REALLY SEE them for what they are, and we no longer reflect back to them love and adoration they do NOT stick around or come back.
