I asked myself, how did I get really over the other jerks in my life?

I faced the truth, and at the end I put the whole story into one sentence.

And then I realized, everyone I know, who had some hardship and got really over it, they have done the same thing, if you hear them talk about it again ever, then in one sentence.

Yeah there were this guy I fell in love with but we didnt match.

Yeah I was married too long to this jerk, but at least I have georgous kids.

Yeah I was deeply in love with him, but thank god I got away from this ass.

Something like this.

If people start to explain more than that, then there are not over yet, and at the end, all we will remember of this story, is the bigger picture, summarized in one sentence.

Its most of the time, the sentence you heard in the beginning of this process of friends and family, but you were still in denial, and didnt want to believe it, and so you went into this whole journey in hope this sentence isnt the truth.

But at the end it always was, at least in my case.

So there we go, I think its a good way to stop cognitive dissonance, if you're stuck there in figuring things out.

To face truth, and then summarize in in one sentence. Thats how you will remember it.
