Laughter---The Best Medicine!

I have moved from unbearable grief, numbness, through sadness, then bitterness and anger. Now the narcissist fills my heart with such mirth, such incredible laughter! OMG...He is such a ridiculous human being! I'm not just keeping a stiff upper lip and laughing through the tears! He is the source of hours of entertainment spent giggling with real humour, not bitter glee. They are such phony baloney little men. Oh Mooohahahaha!

When I first logged onto this site, other posters told me I was SO lucky to have had NC imposed on me. I wondered what could possibly be worse than going from being a love goddess to being nothing more than the gum he scraped off his shoe. But think about that. It's laughable, super ridiculous! Who does that? What kind of whacky emotional imbecile goes from worshipping a woman for over a year to completely ignoring her, FOREVER, in the space of ONE DAY!

My deepest hopes, dreams for all of the women and men on the forum is that they be able to laugh AT them, instead of grieve over them! They are the most ridiculous human beings on the face of the planet.

Instead of the death penalty, these clowns should be sentenced to wearing fake red noses, floppy shoes and plastic corsages that squirt water!

Let the cognitive dissonance disappear under the Barnum and Bailey Big Top! ER

I would so love to rock my narcissist's world, but it would be such a waste of gravel! Keep it up. Keep laughing. We all had run-in with the trickster. Mel Brooks, famous director of Blazing Saddles, The Young Frankenstein, Springtime with Hitler in Germany, said he only portrayed Hitler and Nazis as ridiculous as this is what they fear and is the most accurate to capture their essence. Portray them as evil and that is negative narcissist supply. They don't like to be seen as pouty sulky toddlers, or clowns. In fact, this is what they are. The reason we don't get extreme narcissism initially is we have limited experience with it. I've been around a lot of screwballs in my life and my dad had narc tendencies, but the extreme NPD---a breed apart. It's hard to fathom anyone quite that ridiculous.

Pouty Sulky Toddler

Yikes. You have the concept of what I said when I last broke NC. Because that's EXACTLY what I told the ex-Psych prof (ironically,he was on the senior thesis oral examination committee for an essay on "The Producers") I told the ex-P that he was REPLACED with an infant... and that the infant is EASIER to deal with! I told him basically that his tantrums, inability to understand the needs of others, utter self-absorbtion... he was the practice run for dealing with an infant/toddler. I compared him to an infant who screams&wakes up his parents at night... in hindsight, I realize he received my riposte around the time his parents moved in for good. I'm a real sweetie, aren't I?

Exactly!

That's what finally happened with me a week ago. The N stalked me at another one of my husband's band gigs and made sneering faces at me behind my back while I danced in front of the band (lead singer told me - I didn't look). Instead of shaking or wanting to crawl underneath a table or even getting mad, I laughed. WHO DOES THAT??? What 50 year old man spends his Saturday night in a dive bar making faces at an exgirlfriend's back. BWHAHAHHAH! Humor sure puts everything into perspective. And as for the other woman, one of the posters here has this quote as her graphic (sorry I forget who) but it's SO FUNNY! It says something like: "When I was a child my parents taught me to give my used toys to the disadvantaged." BWHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!! HILARIOUS!!!

I love this!

They are such ridiculous people! I am finally able to look back at all the strange things he did and said and think, "DEAR GOD...HE IS NUTS"!! If they didn't wreak such havoc on all the lives around them, we would probably pity them more. But they are so destructive and self centered that I actually feel okay laughing at the madness. As long as you're not sucked into their little world, it is funny....really funny.

"Laugh AT them, instead of grieve over them"

Hey, that's what I did when I broke NC in '09! It was to mockingly compare the ex-Psych prof to a tantrum-throwing infant who shrieks when he doesn't get his way. It was total LOL'ing.
