Intensity

I’ve read many times how with a narc there is this intense connection. An intensity to the relationship, to the kissing, to the sex. It seems to be a common characteristic of our experiences with these people.

I personally have not experienced anything like it in any other relationship. Sure, there were sparks, the nervousness in the beginning, the hunger to be physical.
But still not such INTENSITY!

I remember one time talking to the narc in his office (this was before things got physical between us) and there was so much electricity in the air it was insane. My pulse was up and the magnetism between us was unreal. Both of us were catching our breath a little and a bit giddy and we were trying to hide it because there were others in the room with us. I mean even my schoolgirl crushes did not compare to this.

After I left we were even texting each other saying “What was that?!” We both felt it. This happened early on, and the narc I was with, while he paid me a lot of attention through texts and was fun and playful, he did not shower me with lovebombing compliments or emotional connectedness. Attention, yes. Emotional connectedness, no. Yet the intensity was there even without him saying things I wanted to hear.

I've done my homework, but someone enlighten more on this subject! It just seemed otherworldly with the narc, how ALIVE I felt.
