How do you stop obsessing?

I am new to the group and have not yet posted. Long story, but my husband left me for his "soul mate" after 6 years together. This all happened about 2 months ago and I just cannot seem to stop wondering about what they are like together, blah, blah, blah. I keep telling myself she is just someone new and different for him, and it will always end the same; but his hurtful words of how amazing she is and that he would rather die than not be with her keep creeping back in. How do you guys work through it? Some days it paralyzes me and I can't even leave the house. With these types of guys, does it usually work out with the "soul mate"? He swears what he feels for her is like nothing he has ever felt in his life....
