Happy "Hoover" New Year? Unreal! He's ramping up!

New Year... New Us! I think we're all determined to leave the NARCs behind in our pasts right? I'm very big on marking events with memorable times. The new year is significant. I have been NC since December 7th, 24 days. I even left the country to avoid any sentimental holiday weakness over Christmas & New Year's Eve.
I have sealed all possible avenues on contact. Yesterday, New Years Eve in England, I received a voicemail from an unknown number- of course, I did not answer.
Yep, you guessed it.... A MESSAGE FROM THE NARC-
I need to say this... There used to be a time I would feel delighted to receive his calls. Yesterday, hearing his voice filled me with an anxious unsettled feeling. I really listened to my body & thought about what I was feeling. His voice made me feel uneasy. I felt angry and shaky.
Many of us struggle with no contact. Each day we maintain NC is earned by hard word, discipline, and sheer tenacity.
His message was this: (paraphrasing)

You'll be happy to know I am a mess- I miss you...
-I would like to see you when you return from England, but you're not even speaking to me-
-I will work around your availability (for the record, HE NEVER GAVE A DAMN ABOUT WHAT WORKED FOR ME)
- I hope you received a box from me before your trip? Not like you not to reply.
-I don't know why you're so mad at me... If its about dating other women, I know you will recall I have always been forthright with you- I've been saying I may want to date other women someday. that's what I was doing... dating.... Not looking to replace you-
- Have a happy New Year

I WANT TO SCREAM!!! He has NO respect for me... He does as he pleases. No regard for me. The good news is HE didn't get to ruin my lovely NYE with friends, amazing food and drink, Sky Lanterns and dancing to old records playing in a record player (retro fun).

Here's to getting your groove on in 2013 and getting those douche bag NARCs out of our lives once and for all...
