emotional abuse

For those who know my story...Is the behavior my STBXNH exhibited to me considered emotional abuse? Do the courts recognize emotional abuse?

Barbara probably may have a good answer of how to handle the 'emotional abuse' issue in court. In my opinion, however, I don't think you have to prove or even use those words?? You have so much factual evidence that he's totally off his rocker and exposed you and the kids to so much mental anguish. You've got e-mails, texts, events written down, hell...you even have the GF's contacting you! Starting from the beginning, where he uprooted you accross country...and going from there. There is no question in any of our minds, I can't imagine a judge who has seen similar thinking you have to prove the abuse. I think the burden to DISPROVE what you're saying is on his shoulders...and good luck with that! Just my 2 cents!
