Do they all do this???

I have been dealing with maintaining NC for so long and he was the one that would call, text, email, etc, etc. Since he filed the divorce last Tuesday, we talked some on Wednesday and Thurday and the NOTHING!!!
Not that I want him to call, I know I MUST keep NC, but now it's like even the narc/psycho is rejecting me. I'm sure he is with OW and does not need me now.
Yet more things to mess with our heads.....they call, text, etc frantically for 2 years, then NOTHING!!! It continues to amaze me how not normal this whole thing is. Now there is no closure, no nothing....he just stops everything and has moved on.
I have been devastated and agonizing about this whole situation. I could NOT EVEN IMAGINE being with someone else or dating right now.
Do they all do this....just one day, STOP everything. He was really making it out to everyone last week that HE IS THE ONE that has been abused by me and HE was the one suffering....
Can someone please explain???
