Once you ve been d&d is that it? Or would they if they could do the idealising again and then the cycle repeats?

I think the ex n did it a couple of times ... But not like now.... I think I was d&d quicker cos I was on to him... I wasn't let him he treat me like that.

What do u think? Thanks T

Let me ask you.. Why would you want affection from a psychopath abuser in the first place?. No one would .. You need to deprogram.. The xN went through many, many cycles of idealizing, then D&D. With each the idealization phase would be at a quicker pace and last for less time - textbook N/psychopath. NC is a joy.

Yes!!!!!!!! Remember everything is a game to them. They cant lose. How dare you be the one to leave or get away. They will try again sooner or later. Some say they never hear from their Ns again but I think it's rare. Mine knew I'd totally figured him out yet he still called me after 4 months asking me to go out. I totally ignored him. If given the chance, he probably would have stood me up or apologized for everything and have me fall for him again. When they get you up high they're just waiting to knock you down back low. They play dirty. Each cycle is quicker and more cruel. It will never be the way it was in the beginning, never!!! Sickos!

My theory

is that although they 'know mentally' what they are doing, because they dont 'feel it emotionally' they get the high from the destruction but they dont appreciate the devastation..because they dont feel it, they know mentally to give you chance to cool off but when they come back they honestly think all will be ok now..

They think they're entitled. They're legends in their own minds, sure they'll let things die down. But they'll be back to further destroy. They also suffer gaps in memory.
