Curiosity is Killing Me

It’s officially been one week of NC with my former ex. He had me completely programmed for the past year and our last “fight” (the end of everything for me) was in regards to him visiting my city for business. I never got a confirming answer about whether he would be here for work or not, but do know that if he does come it would be in 17 days. I know that I will not see, talk to, or respond to him if he reaches out however; I am having a lot of anxiety over his potential to be in my city and still get sad that he hasn’t made any attempt to rectify our situation. Regardless, I just cant wrap my head around why this is still upsetting me so much when I know what a jerk and manipulator he really is. Help!
