Can't f***ing escape him!

This weekend I am out of town for a friend's birthday party. I was chatting with a woman I have never met before.

She asked what I do for a job. I told her. Turns out she knows a woman who used to work there years ago. And THAT turns out to be OW. And of course, she then starts talking about XN, and how wonderful he is. 'Such a nice guy. SUCH a nice guy.' (Yes, she said it twice.)

PLEASE! Can I not get a break from this sh*t? I can't seem to escape XN, even out of town, with a bunch of strangers I am tired of being tested; I just want some peace..

This encounter has made me wonder all over again, as I often do, if I am wrong about XN. If he really is a nice guy, and I have just taken the whole thing hard because I am needy and insecure. IN other words, capitualting to niggling thoughts that the problem is me.
