Bruised ego I shouldn't of listened to my sister.....

My sister had a trial membership to a online dating site and I said after what happened to the free dating site I probably shouldn't do this...... My sister said well you won't know unless you try....... I tried for a week and nothing.... Finally a guy messaged me and he was so nice or so I thought..... We talked about everything and I actually was a chatty person and I was having so much fun talking to him and he disappeared..... The last time I spoke to him was Thursday and I thought well it's the weekend I guess he is busy I am not going to worry about it..... I checked last night ( He was online) and today he was online so I guess he isn't interested anymore..... Talk about a bruised ego..... He seemed so interested.... He talked and talked and talked and made me laugh and off he goes.... I am not listening to my sister anymore! Online dating paid and free are not for me it just makes me sad... I am sure it works for some but for me it just bruises my ego.
