Comorbidity

is what it is called when a person exhibits traits of several of PD's. Narcs are part of a class of PD called Cluster B PD's. Many times the disordered person can have features of more than one of these disorders. Borderline is one of them, along with histrionic and antisocial. This is a good resource on BPD to find out more http://www.bpdfamily.com/bpdresources/nk_a109.htm Another good article about Cluster B disorders http://www.waking-you-up.com/cluster-B.html Also, just a note, but sufferers of BPD and NPD are often drawn to each other like magnets, and it is a deadly kind of dance they do with each other Peace, Rose

BPD in the news

Michael Douglas' cancer has been in the news lately. He ditched his wife of several decades for Catherine Zeta-Jones (the first thing he told her was that he wanted her to have his babies) Recently, Catherine Zeta-Jones has gone to the media talking about her struggles with BPD.

you might be right

My ex is a Narc with borderline traits meaning he has a bit of feeling and concern that showed through in phases. He is also self-aware which the typical N is not. He had a huge fear of being abandoned, and I do not think he'd ever have left. All that makes things difficult.

Mine too, that's why it is so

Mine too, that's why it is so hard to think these people are so cold with no feeling whats so ever. I have never dealt with this stuff before , he was my first Narc/BPD whatever you want to call it, hard for me to think someone really doesn't care or feel anything for someone else

My old NARC couldnt have a

My old NARC couldnt have a conscious or he couldnt have done or said the things he did. I could understand if someone goofs up, apologizes and then never makes the mistake again. He was a never ending cycle of abuse, so no heart in him.
