The Path Forward is the first

The Path Forward is the first of the books you should read! Extremely helpful and an easy read as well. The steps are important in your healing accompanied by the forum. Won't get that elsewhere.

Help ~I am in love with a Narcissist

Would easily be my recommend after Lisas book the path forward, I too agree that although they are enlightening with stories etc and the more knowledge you gain the more power you have..they dont have the steps or the allabouthim forum so for that reason I would say the path forward a must read as a 'doer', second choice I am in love with a Narcissist for an 'addn info' aid x

The best book so far

other than Lisa's for me is called Narcissistic Lovers: How to Cope, Recover and Move On by Cynthia Zayn an Kevin Dibble. So many of the things in this book hit home- I have read it twice and will pursue to continue to read and educate myself until I hopefully can develop the strength to stop caring about him and move forward. I am ashamed to admit that I feel sorry for him despite all he has done to me. He is so convincing that he has changed...I want to believe him.

The more information the better...

I am so consumed with trying to understand this disorder that I haven't stopped reading. I've even read info on how to live with your Narcissist??? I still feel like part of The Twilight Zone-Is this really happening to me? Why haven't I heard of this before? Will I ever be happy again? Thanks for all of your suggestions-I will read them all.

Books!

Wizard of oz Fatal Flaws (yodofsky) - I read this book and the nine principles of being involved with people with character and personality disorders at least 6 times. I read the chapter on npd almost every day. I felt like drew barrymore in that movie 50 first dates where I could read and understand one day, and then wake up confused the next. read read and read!

i feel like you...have been researching online and reading everything searching for answers to "what the Hell" has hit me. I just feel like a complete and utter fool to have believed in this idiot. Trying desparately to believe it was not my fault, that he is a sick person and he knows and is extremely experienced in what he does. My FEAR: like you, Will I Ever Be Happy Again? -fefe

It is a horrible feeling...

It seems like an endless battle with no end in sight-Keep reading though with hopes that eventually what ever is holding you back will be clear and you can find the path back to happiness. I'll be thinking of you! Try to stay strong!!!
