The Apologies

I got so sick of saying "I'm sorry" to him all the time. I did it at least once or twice every time I saw him for both small stupid stuff to big things- in his eyes.

I don't want to say "I'm sorry" ever again to another man. I know I'm feeling the extreme opposite of wanting a relationship right now. But I just can't handle always apologizing to another man ever again.

I felt like with each apology more and more of my self-confidence was being taken away.

I know whatcha mean, after a while, I was apologizing for crap I wasn't even responsible for just to keep the peace. If someone said something to my ex that bothered him, like in my family, I'd spend the rest of the day saying, sorry...sorry..sorry! And for the same stuff over and over again, months later. He'd never let me forget mistakes...even though they really weren't?? Of course, small things were blown into huge life-shattering dramas by him. But don't I DARE bring up his mistakes! Hellooo, double standard?? Ugh...makes me want to hurl just thinking about it. No more drama, and YES, no more apologies!!!

It really is all about him

They have the ability to turn it all around to make it look like WE are the cheating, lying Bs. They will NEVER let you forget you are THE one that has made all the mistakes. THey are perfect in their own minds ONLY. According to my ex N he DID NO WRONG. They have the ability to twist and turn EVERYTHING back to us. I used to think how does he do that? I am just not that cruel and don't even have such thoughts in my head about other people. Where do they dream this stuff up? Yes double standards for them only.

I just got involved with the same N for the second time.
What was I thinking? Because I have put myself back to the same point where I am blaming myself again. And for what?
I want to get rid of these feelings again.
