Moving backwards.

It is hard when I think back to all the bad times we went through. All the mean things that were done and said.
For months it was the silent treatment, and him never being able to tell me what he wanted from me. Just enough for me to hold onto. Him seeing other girls, and not allowing me to see others. etc, etc. I was a constant wreck, and I think he finally felt bad?
One day, He just up and told me "I did these same things to my ex, and I'm not going to put you through it, too." He went from literally one day, being all wishy washy, playing games. To finally standing ground. He used to approach me so immaturely. "You wore red lipstick?!!? in front of a guy? What the hell." (He then told me he got oral from some girl because of it. and I said sorry!)
So after the months of crap, he kicked in mature charming mode. He would listen to me cry. Try to help me move on.. Well. Telling me "better things will come." (As long as it didn't involve him going out of his way or seeing me.) Now, I'm putting him back on that pedestal. yuck. I feel like most other men would put me on block, or ignore me, or call names. Instead he re-adds me on Facebook, and asks me how I'm doing.
Is this normal? It has me questioning if he is even a narc. and I need to delve more into MY problems.

What have you read so far about narcissism? Why are you putting him on a pedestal? Do you think this is normal? And where is the area of doubt that something might not be wrong? even if we were to say "No, he doesn't sound like a narc" What is the dealbreaker for you?

A lot. I've spent many nights

A lot. I've spent many nights over the past few months reading, and reading, and reading. I think I know the truth, and I don't know why I am trying to convince myself otherwise. It's not normal. The way I feel. I feel dumb for posting this. I just don't know how to delete it.

Please don't feel "dumb" for

Please don't feel "dumb" for posting anything! We have all been through hell here and have gone back and forth and back and forth on our feelings. We have all obsessed over the details, questioned whether or not he was "that bad", and questioned if we were to blame. This is the normal aftermath of exiting a toxic relationship. Keep reading and keep writing out your feelings. It really does get better if you stay on track. You are going through a detox now. It sucks but you just have to ride it out.

What about the other questions I asked...sometimes it helps to get your thoughts out...cognitive dissonance is very common.

You're right. I just need to

You're right. I just need to let the past be the past. Be strong enough to realize it is what it is. And, not let it happen again with another.
