I heard he was a vegetarian, too, but it was because he was horrified at the smell of his own shit, and ate only foods that created a "low smell" factor :D He wasn't a vegetarian for any moral reasons, if that's what you were wondering. He was incredibly disturbed, like, one of the MOST disturbed the human race has produced. It's easy for anyone to be nice to animals. We have utter control over them. Especially a dog, who yearns to please his master, obey his every whim for a pat on the head. I am just not seeing how being a vegetarian or a dog lover can make anyone a moral upstanding citizen. I have known a couple of vegetarians who think eating animals is evil, but that didn't give them some moral priority over other people. I agree with them, frankly. I still eat meat (while in complete denial, it comes in little packages from Safeway, not some poor critter :( :( :( . My exNarc had some very admirable qualities. But he had MORE destructive ones. You can't isolate out a couple of "normal" tendencies from your exNarc and use them to wonder if he REALLY was that bad, you know? You gotta eat the whole cookie :) . He may be kind to animals, may feel wrong eating animal flesh . . . but he can beat you with a belt and humiliate you beyond words. Now which stands out more in your mind? ((((hugs))))
