Why don't they grieve?

I've never met anyone quite like a Narcissist. They are baffling, bewildering and mind boggling. I think it has to do with the fact that they come across initially as SO "nice", overly attentive, kind hearted, and patient in the beginning. They could fool the devil if they wanted.

But what I can't understand, for the life of me, is:

1. Why don't they grieve?
2. Why don't they have empathy for human beings?

Is it just evil or do they have something wrong in their brains?

Recent studies at UCLA, MC

Recent studies at UCLA, MC GIll and other major schools indicate that the narcissit has a lack of development in the anterior lobe of the brain-it is a cellular condition not attitude. they lack empathy, sympathy etc because they have low emotional intelligence stemming from a genetic disability. they are bewildering because they have normal intellectual intelligence but their emotional intelligence is that of a 4 year old. It is different for different narcissists depending on the disabling cellular condition. It has levels depending on what they have to work with. that is one reason they are bewildered when their relationships, families, and jobs all fall apart. they really have no idea what anyone is talking about.

Why? Simple.

Their brains are different. LITERALLY. They supress it for so long that finally the pre-frontal cortex won't allow these emotions. And there's NO CURE. None. http://www.cassiopedia.org/glossary/Narcissism http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWGMDAlvXss http://thesexaddictedbrain.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/05/back-in-the-day.html THIS IS THE FACE OF EVIL. Barbara ??

Could that happen to me?? I constantly suppress my feelings towards him, my mom and evan concerning my brothers death.I try constantly to not show emotion. Am I doing something harmful to my brain? I notice I am not feeling as much joy as I felt the first time I found myself single with kids. I hope I don't feel numb with pockets of sadness forever. I thought it was just circumstancial depression.

Leah - you are not a pathological too

Now stop that! No! The very FACT you are questioning it would mean you have empathy, compassion and good reality grasp. All things that would prevent you from being an N. Here's a good article for you: 'Am I Pathological Too?' http://howtospotadangerousman.blogspot.com/2007/09/am-i-pathological-too.html BEING ABUSED DOES CHANGE YOUR BRAIN. PUTTING UP WITH OR DENYING OR STAYING WITH AN ABUSER DOES CHANGE YOUR BRAIN - but victims never become Ns. NEVER. Clinical depression - yes. Narcissism - NO. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Free articles & information for abuse victims: http://abusesanctuary.blogspot.com Effective Coaching for Victims of Pathologicals http://one2one4victims.webs.com/
