Knowledge IS Power
Knowledge IS Power
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your wise words. Without this site I think I'd still be bumping around reading the same lists of clinical narcissistic signs. Through this web site I see that they are all poured out of the same cracked mold.
They say the same things, act out in the same fashions, pretend to be "good" people...if only for a little while. I, like others are trapped in this crazy house of mirrors for awhile longer. Knowledge is power.
I used to get so frustrated and confused that I would blurt out my own hateful words. Called him a lying cheating whore, porn slut, arrogant S.O.B, you'd better get your ass into confession before your soul burns in hell, etc.
Through reading everyone's experiences I see I am not crazy or alone. I can now react calmly and with authority and without my own drama. I love to see his little dim light bulb go on if only for a couple of seconds.
The "Hey I'm a nice guy!" bull. I used to just keep quiet. Next time I answered with; "Who told you that?" Next time I just smiled and said; "You are a nice guy, but you are not God or a Saint on a pedestal." Light bulb! Ha, ha! He hasn't tried that routine in a very long time. When he puff's out his chest and starts to get arrogant and on the verge of a tantrum I let him know if he is going to continue then I will spend the night in a hotel. He has pushed it a few times and I leave. He hates to be left for the night with only his own warped mind to keep him company. When he does the mirror act I calmly stand my ground and he backs down.
Yep, knowledge is power. When the industrial hoover comes out I know it for what it is.
I don't know why he continues to want me around. Maybe he is one of those that like the discipline? S&M, mommy please don't spank oh, yes spank me harder?
He wants you around until HE
HE the god
