Special Connection

I've been reading a lot here this past week, more than usual, digging deep in some of the older posts. Someone (sorry, forgot who) brought up a great point in one of their posts. The special connection. She was mentioning that the narc mentioned this special connection that they had a lot, then she realized that normal friends don't talk like this. I thought this was a great point. The narc I knew went out of his way to tell me over and over and in various ways how connected we were, we have a true connection, he hasn't felt connected like this before, etc. I cannot think of another example of a friend of mine who has needed to point this out to me. It would be odd. Normal people don't talk about their special connections, do they? I think it is some of the brainwashing they do: telling you that you are connected, then you start believing it. Just a thought.
