Imposter, Imitator, and Big fat copy catter!

So, I was just thinking how his "personality" changed so drastically, from one day to the next. We'd be home and if I was in silly mood, he'd be in a silly mood. If I was calm and quiet, he was usually the same.

We would go out with his friends and he was an entirely different person. I swear he acted just like his jerk best friend, from taunting people as they walked by, to spitting on the ground (he's not a spitter), to verbally violating women as they passed by. It was so weird.

He'd come home talking down to me, using the word "bitch" as a Pet Name for me, talking like a gangster, using the N word, in a rapper kinda voice. One day, something clicked in my brain and I asked, "You've been listening to Eminem haven't you?" And sure enough, he had been.

We'd hang out with his friend and his girl, and if they were sitting there gazing in eachother's eyes, he was doing the same to me.

If someone pulls out drugs, any kind of drug, he jumps right in to take it.

It's like, he doesn't know how to behave without behaving like someone else. I also noticed, if he was uncomfortable with the mood in the room (nothing/noone good to imitate) he'd just leave. In those situations, I could see his discomfort and knew we'd be leaving.

Is this like a manipulation tactic, to get on someone's good side? It was the most bizzare thing. One time, I made the mistake of telling him that he was acting just like Jeff (fake name for his best friend)His posture, his voice, his language; it was all Jeff. He got so defensive, going on and on about Jeff was acting just like him! "I'm older than him!, he was acting like ME!" I was like, "Ok, but I have NEVER seen you act that way." Oh, man, the night was a disaster. How dare I accuse him of acting!
