Don’t act like it didn’t happen

Many of us found ourselves making up excuses for them, feeling compassion for the terrified child inside of them.

When we see that child, we know he’s trapped in a prison (he identified with his mask (False self) forever) and it is just heartbreaking. After many attempts to rescue that child you realize... There’s nothing you can do about it.

But…don’t act like it didn’t happen, don’t be fooled by your mushy feelings for that child.

Because when you pretend that exN didn’t use you, he didn’t manipulate you, he didn’t cheat on you…you actually tell to them that you accepted it and that their abuse was not a big deal.

Stop living the lie. STOP PRETENDING IT DIDN'T CUT YOU TO THE CORE AND IT HURT LIKE A BITCH. Stop being docile. Stop acting like you are nothing. Stop acting like a stray dog laying at their feet.

When you put on your happy face, you act exactly like they want you to. Act like it didn’t happen. That would mean there is nothing wrong with them and they didn’t do anything to you.

If you repress your real emotions, you will only numb yourself and you will deny your anger. Let the anger out because with that, comes a great relief.
