Thinking about him physically

I know that many Narcs aren't good in bed - but mine was. Which makes it very hard. My mind knows how bad he is for me, but it also wanders to all of the very good times we had in bed. I feel embarassed posting this question, but is there a way to not go there in my head? I feel so disgusting and stupid when I do...

Actually it makes little difference whether they were good

Or bad in bed as to whether or not you experience the physical withdrawal. Most of us will feel intense physical withdrawal and mental withdrawal as we disengage from the confusion of a relationship with a PD.

Time is the great healer and it is natural to have mental obsessions regarding your times together as the cognative dissonance begins to unraval in your brain and in your body.

You cannot fight these thoughts completely in the beginning or you will shut down and they will eventually come out again anyway.

Allow yourself to feel, let out the tears, anger, grief as it comes up. Journaling is great and there are several letter exercises in the Six steps of Recovery which will help you as well.

God bless,
