Oh PICK ME

HAHAHA!!! Oh, you just soooo made my day zzcem by asking this question!! yes, my XN would put his profile up within 24 hours of a breakup...have me replaced in 4 days to 2 weeks max!! Happened 4 or 5 times! And yes, I wa a dope and took him back after a 6 week to 10 week layoff, on average. My XN is a match.com champion - love how the profile said he's "new to the online thing"! WHAT BS!!! he lives for it!! Even had a personal dig to me in the profile..."doesnt want someone who's angry underneath it all" thats a tribute to me I think, b/c I wasn't allowed to EVER be angry at something he did, therefore I MUST have a problem, right? NOT! Also would add photos I took of him too! Thats the only part of him that makes me question of he is TRULY an N, b/c he didn't seem to fret that we fought and I might want him out. -- or maybe he thought he was dumping me and that was part of my punishment??? how many time did it happen to everyone else?? thanks for posting the question. It made me feel connected! -M

Love it michelle18! Mine is

Love it michelle18! Mine is a champion as well! I use to tell him that, unlike him, I don't need to "interview with pictures preferred, within a 50 mile radius" to meet someone worth while. He is a pathetic loser! Lol

hi michelle

mine did the same thing, wrote in his profile that he didn't want someone who was "unhappy". and i wasn't allowed to ever be in a bad mood or disapprove of how he treated me.

to sparrow and foreverfun!

did you ever get "sent home" because you were not feeling so well rather than loved and taken care of?? lovely guy i dated for 4 years! My XN was once on match.com while I was at his house throwing a birthday party for him. Even a party was not enough attention for this vampire! My fault, of course, I should not have been near that darn computer..always wondered why he jumoed so fast if I sat down at his desk!! :) or maybe it was that computer's fault! yeah, thats right!

omg yes thats exactly what he

omg yes thats exactly what he would do, if i was ill or not perfectly doting he would tell me to go home. when i was in the hospital i caught him on a dating site cuz i had my laptop and he didnt know. it was the night b4 my surgery and i made a fake profile that he set up a date with for the following day. then the day of my surgery he forgot to call to see if i even survived

Nah, mine lived 20000 miles

Nah, mine lived 2000 miles away from me. Visited him often, he behaved while I was there........but the minute he dropped me off at the airport..........he logged on to his match account. It was pathetic........I was pathetic. No more though. While there? What an ass he was........sorry you had to put up with that. These narcs.......major losers......... We will all heal........and won't need a computer to find a companion! :)

Virtual Romances

That's the problem with dating sites. In person, one can assess the other's behaviors, check your own gut feelings. Ironically, I met the ex-Psych IRL... and yet it felt like a long-distance relationship (despite him living a ten minute walk from campus) However, he and his future wife had a predominantly LDR/internet relationship. It's easier to idealize another person and not be able to see them realistically over the internet. Dating sites are perfect for Ns/Ps who dread emotional intimacy.

Probably every single one of

Probably every single one of us on this forum! Narcissists have an insatiable desire for attention and new supply. They CAN NOT stay away from such sites. Yes, these dating sites are LOADED with preditors, narcs, perverts, rapists. disordered individuals. It is a scary world out there, and modern technology, made it scarier! I call these dating websites a "Narcissist's Playground" Mine couldn't stay away.........he tried, oh did he try (yeh, right) but he just can't seem to stay off of them. Have at it loser! As long as you leave me alone! :)

No to dating sites

Hello to all: This is a purely personal thing, but I would never, ever, have anything to do with a dating site. I feel these are the ideal hunting ground for predators; an insane individual can pretend he is anything he likes on there. Again, I know many would argue that otherwise they will never meet anyone in 3D. Well, there are many ways to meet up with people. Join an association, a volunteer group, a book club, a creative writing class, etc. Also I don't do FB. Best to all Hermes

ExN used (uses) FB to catch and flirt with women

He adds about one new person a day (over 800 "friends"). Many are girls he met in bars. He is 56...yup, still trolling. Unless he is with the bar hoe from last Dec! He said he had no GF when he hoovered in June. That probably means he has 10 girlfriends.

i met mine on plenty of fish.

i met mine on plenty of fish. he had his profile hidden while we were together but he was on there every night while at work. i know because i would make fake profiles just to talk to him cuz he wasnt into me but kept me hooked and pretended i was his gf. i also wanted to watch his method of tricking a girl into meeting him. i found that he would go out with anyone regardless of age , looks etc. it was disgusting. when i would reveal it was me he would become infuriated and call me evil when he was the one cheating! no remorse at all. lol what a freaking dirtbag

Back up?

Most of them never take it down, they simply block it from public view and continue to roam as always. Narcs are always looking for fresh supply. No surprises there. God bless, Goldie

That is so funny

that you would say that because it is true. I know for certain that in the last couple of months that we were together he would go online to "roam" even though his profile is "turned off" and invisible (there is a way you can see when they last logged on even though the profile is not viewable). Now that we are broke up it is just a matter of days before he turns it back on. Match.com = never ending supply.

Don't check

I'm sure mine is on there, thats where I met him too!! Ugh, I will never go on there again. There was a red flag when he was trying to meet me, he had no pic and said he lived in FL!! He lives in MA and after 3 tries sent me an email that said he lived in my hometown! I always wondered why it said FL, well, I'm pretty sure he dated someone there before me, and went back to her as soon as we broke up!! ExN even stalked me on there last year when I went on for a few months after we broke up. I have met a few narcs on there and some nice guys but I'm so done with playing games. Now I just wait the old fashioned way, meeting people, friends of people, etc. Needless to say I haven't had very many dates but I have a bad taste in my mouth with those dating sites. I'll just stay single forever I guess :(

It was Plenty of Fish, and

It was Plenty of Fish, and both the lunatics I met for a few weeks each kind of never took their profiles down. I am meanwhile very very skeptical and questioning those sites, for one was/is a true criminal, and the police advised to inform the dating site. All they answered was that they would 'watch his activities'. . .

That is where my Narc found

That is where my Narc found me! His profile was from NY and said he was moving to WY. He chatted me up and f ed me over. A couple of weeks before we broke up and I did a blind search and found he had put up the same ad, with the same fishing scam again, just added more pictures that I took of him on our vacations! I notified Match.com what he was doing, he is dangerous and I had to get a civil protection order, they took his profile down and I can't find it again...:) The other internet dating site he was also on, I found this out through an internet search, they didn't respond and his ad is still up. Internet dating has made supply easy and cheap for these bastards.

Mine did

While the kids and I were still living in the shelter a friend of mine (with a legitimate profile) was doing a search and found stbxN's new profile. She didn't tell me until about 2 months ago but it still hurt like hell.

I forgot to mention

that Match.com (in my opinion) is the PERFECT place for the Narc to find new supply! I hate that site! I would never put my profile up on there ever again!
