Fellow Survivors:
I must admit something. Deep down I was hoping I was wrong about him being an N. It is such an awful thing, the love I have for the person I thought he was just couldn't stomach it. A huge lie told to me by him, a telephone argument and "it's over" text sent to him by me and 23 days of no contact got me wondering if I had diagnosed him inaccurately....until today.
I have had his number blocked and I auto forward any correspondence from his email address to a junk folder and today I saw that folder contained two emails.
The first was very vanilla thanking me for something I sent him before the break up. That was sent on Friday afternoon.
The second was today...simply "i hope you are well. I'm concerned"
No I'm sorry for the big ass lie I told you nothing of the sort. 23 days of NC and thats the best he can do. I now understand and accept that he is truly this awful shell of a man. Not the man I thought I loved so deeply.
I want to respond, I want to yell at him. But this is typical behavior for him similar to all of our othe breakups (now I know they were actually D&Ds).
His behavior fits this disorder to a T. Makes me sad to watch him act out what every single one of you has described. At least i have the knowledge now. I am also trying to accept that I did not cause it; nor can I fix it. I can only save myself.
Thank you to each of you who have shared a bit of your soul on here. You may have just saved mine.
Peace!
