They may have a better understanding of "the way it is" thus a mutual arrangement which works best for both. Think power attorney's, politicians with prominent wives, actors, although two Narc actors don't tend to last too long.

The need for both to be in control and to be the center of attention may create an intense, volitile relationship which keeps them in constant drama and crisis mode. That type of thing would not benefit either Narc for long.

The general "fit" for a narc is to choose a codependent, love addict, inverted narc, borderline, ect....

Those arrangements tend to have a longer shelf life because the Narc likes to take and the other persoanlity types like to give and tend to get hooked on the fantasy of love and relationships as oppossed to the "real" day in and day out typical relationship concept. They crave the highs and lows in order to "feel" loved.

It's a mixed bag, no absolutes here, just likelihood. There are exceptions to every rule.
