is it unusal for your husband to admit he is a narc

Hi Goldie,
my husband recently walked out on our marriage. in the end he lied, cheated and completely d&d.
He told me that he is a "narcisst".
my therapist was quiet shocked by this as she said she has never know a narc to admit it..
just curious on your thought?
