Struggling with limited contact

I wish I had the luxury of no contact but we have a 7 year old together. I would honestly love to never talk to him again. Any suggestions for limited contact? I have tried only responding to vital topics on my daughter and text only. He always seems or rope me into a fight. I hate this!
