Interesting Point of View on "The One"

I recently heard a very interesting take on what people perceive as meeting "The One". I'm sure many of us thought that when we first entered into a relationship with the narc, we believed we had found "The One".

The truth is, there is no "I've met The One". People can become the one over time by how they treat you. The one who truly adores you and loves you in a healthy, unselfish way is "The One". They will protect you and be a true partner. "The One" would never hurt, control and abuse you. You didn't lose anything by the relationship ending. They were never "The One" to begin with.
