He told me I was lucky...

One time when I returned to the N after a strong but failed attempt at NC. He lured me back in by telling me he would never ignore me again and he would call me every single day to see how I am and make sure I am ok. Then he took me to a NBA basketball game and to dinner, but not before we made a pit stop at his house to have sex. He made a joke to his friend that stopped by before we left that I had to earn my ticket first. (straight face)

During the time at the game I received many compliments from strangers about how beautiful they thought I was. He then looked at me and said "well I always told you how smart I think you are." Anyway, during the entire game and after he told me how lucky I was to be there with him and riding in his fancy car. Never mind the fact that I drive a better car than he does.

It puzzled me for days why he would continued to tell me how lucky I was to be with him over and over again. While clearly "He" was the lucky one.
