Painful, but ended it.

I have finally cut all ties with him. It was like cutting a cord, quitting a drug, ending a heart-wrenching love affair with an illusion.

I found out about yet another woman he was flirting with after forgiving him for past actions. I had enough. We were engaged and I gave back the ring.

I have received emails, texts, voicemails, and everything you could imagine. Hard cries on the phone, emails about how sorry he is and he will change and he loves me and can't live without me, etc.....Trust me, it TOOK EVERYTHING OUT OF ME TO NOT respond.

I have been 'clean' of him for exactly 3 weeks today. He has not heard one peep from me. 3.5yrs of my life is over and it hurts like hell, but it's what I have to do.

Sometimes doing the right thing does not feel good. I am in counseling and it helps. I have good friends. I am the one he loves, yet he is already dating someone now. None of this is easy.

I am sure the new girl will learn soon enough. He hasnt tried to contact me in 2 days now. That actually helps, even though the 'sick' part of me wants to hear from him.
