You hold all the cards

For anyone still in the mindset that the end of one of these one sided relationships has left you suffering a great loss, try looking at it this way:

You are the one in control. You always were, but by the use of manipulation, the TAKER fooled you in to believing that they were of great value to you.

The GIVER (that would be you) always has the upper hand in any situation. You hold something that the TAKER wants or needs. They are completely at YOUR mercy when it comes to receiving whatever that reward is.

The TAKER wants/needs:

Money
Sex
Praise
Validation,

to name a few.

The saying, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you." comes to mind.

It's a poor choice to not acknowledge and appreciate those who are giving, because left feeling used the GIVER will stop giving, after all they are giving, not stupid.

So you tell me, when this happens, who has lost something of value?
