Two years of NC and out the blue I hear from EX

Exaclty two years of NC with the ex who broke my heart, I happened to receive a text out the blue one evening, he said hi and I didn't respond to the first few messages, but after recieving multiple messages I decided to finally reply because I never got a goodbye from him and after two years of him moving on with OW, he said that he wanted to make things right and apologize, after a month of trying to schedule a time to meet with me, I finally accepted the meeting to hear what he had to say, I wasn't nervous and heard him out, he said that he was sorry and never meant to hurt me that he had never forgot me because I was apart of his life for over 5 years, he mentioned how he broke it off with the other woman he left me for and that it didn't work out, he proposed to that woman, something I longed for from him. The meeting was short and I suppose he got his closure. I DIDN'T hear from as I thought I would since our meeting and I text him to break the ice, he text a few times after, but he left me questioning and feeling confused and rejected. I figured he would at least be trying to get back with me or make his way back in my life, but he only said hello, I hear he is talking to other women and hanging out with them, did he really mean to apologize?? I haven't heard from him in a week. Will he try again???? Do Narcissist have remorse???
