For those encountering hoovering

And/or considering breaking NC...

Hi all,
My name is Terri and I haven't been on this forum for several months. I've been doing really well and have been successful at getting on with my life and enjoying the joys of my work, children, home, friends, etc. But the last few days, I've been posting quite a lot and I thought that maybe an explanation was in order as to why I'm back all of a sudden.

It seems like the exN is low on supply and has been hoovering me left and right. I've been so good at avoiding and deflecting, but it's funny how just hearing from these guys starts to get your emotions stirred up again. In fact, it's safe to say that it's really PI*#ING me off that he's turning up again.

So, I guess I'd like to turn this into a positive message for all of you who are in the most difficult recovery phases and asking if it does get better and do they ever go away for good...

A year ago, getting hoovered like this felt like a relief because it was so hard to be NC and not in contact with him.
Today - it just really annoys the hell out of me!
I think that's progress. (and the silver lining is it motivated me to get back in touch with all of my forum friends)

Do they ever go away? Well, mine is still in the background but he's become the tiny spec of crud on my back window that I notice when I look in my rear view mirror as I happily cruise down the freeway, heading into another gorgeous day of narc-free sunshine!

I think it's time for a carwash. :)
