Things that make you go hmmmm! :-)

So after the pain and confusion of the past two years I can actually say with some confidence that I'm starting to move forward...

So I'm single and I can finally talk to someone of the opposite sex when in the same vicinity.

I meet this guy.
Excellent education. Financially secure. Job is one of high responsibility and he is very successful in several fields.

So I allow myself to become 'friends' with him.
We talk a bit. This increases to quite often.... And then...

He tells Bee can she call him at such and such a time and also stipulates time frame for conversation!
He also tells her that he 'would have a far better idea' than she about how much money and time it takes to invest in elite youth sports children. (He has no children of his own I have two involved in such programs!) :) :)
He tells her she is a 'dumb one' for becoming involved with the N and that he would never make those kinds of choices! No not he! He then tells her he is not judgemental at all! :) :) :)
He then tells Bee he loves all the same things as she...however unfortunately he finishes the list with... 'and all that crap.' :) :) :) :)

So then he decides to ask me out for dinner.

Can u see how many red flags I actually NOTICED and OBSERVED and LISTENED to.
I didn't ignore, minimise or try to empathise or justify.
I actually saw things as they were.

This I feel, is very good progress.

I also predicted the next thing to come would be the 'off the cuff' humor about his sexual prowess, sizenof his appendage and him alluding to his irresistible allure! (SPOT ON! :))

UMMMMM NOOOOOOO!

I am so JOYFUL today. I have NO ego to stroke. No BS to sift through and NO foreign language to try and translate.

I felt such a rush of GRATEFULNESS for having learned so much through this experience and that for the first time I REALLY believe I may actually make it through all of this and actually THRIVE!
