So today is my birthday.....

I went out with my friends last night, and I had a great time. I danced for hours, it was wonderful.

Towards the end of the night, I kept having thoughts of the ex-narc. Missing him and almost started spinning.

I had done some inner work with my childhood b-days and the ex-narc before my b-day. Though my mother always tried to make the best b-days for me, my narc-father ususally would bring some drama to the day. So when I started to think about the ex-narc, I knew I was missing what I had been use to growing up with. I was able to dismiss the thoughts and ended up enjoying my night.

It feels so good coming out of denial. Dealing with the root of these issues is enabling me to plant myself in reality and not live in denial with situations in my life.
