THE SILENT TREATMENT

N uses it to his advantage every time its possible.

growing up in a home where i basically had to fend for myself throughout life, i have a huge issue with abandonment. during the courting stage of our relationship, N learned all this about me, was always there for me to open up to, even pried for information, acted genuinely concerned, just trying to round up information to use against me... which he did.

it went from concern, to him throwing out there that i was "a needy bitch with daddy issues".

his biggest weapon is the silent treatment. he will just ignore me for days, weeks, months even. usually leaves me reeling, and literally begging him for closure, for attention, for any sort of response... email after email, text after text... just begging for him to stop ignoring me and acknowlege him. i offer to do anything he wants, sexually, physically, mentally, offer to cut people out of my life, just to get him to respond and acknowledge me again.

he has told me that he does it because "when he ignores me thats when i finally start using my brain". aka giving him the best supply imaginable.

does anyone else have an issue with the silent treatment? any advice or words to help cope with it?
