Questions .. Guilt and shame

I so appreciate this forum. It has helped me sooo much to understand.

I have some questions that maybe some of you can help me with. We broke up a lot over the years
He always begged back in but this time, the last time. He didn't beg or look back.
But had someone else in place, new supply.
The break up was Heartless and quick after 17 years
Walked away pretty much not looking back. Hovered a bit .. Not a lot. A few texts/ calls in between gf's
Still a narc ?
Secondly, how do narcs handle guilt and or shame ? He always seemed hyper sensitive to both.
Tremendous guilt on a lot of levels. Seems to get depressed by it
Is this typical of a narc? I haven't found a lot on this subject
I've read more that they may have no shame.
Any explanation ?
