Pain is not natural

A year ago I was on Zoloft and in a deep fog/depression over being discarded by the N. I only stayed on it for 3 days before I had a long talk with myself...out loud like a crazy person but it worked!

I chose not to be in pain any longer. We all have that choice. Getting past the hurt is a slow crawl that should be marked by small victories along the way....NC for a day, a week, a month, trying something new, going a day without crying, having the courage to get therapy.

Today I woke up happy and grateful at how much I've grown from the woman I was last year. I'm still learning/processing and come to this site for comfort and support when I need to get back on track with my thoughts.

I read this statement this morning from Iyanla Vanzant's Facebook page. It holds true for all of us:

"Pain is not natural. Pain is life's way of getting your attention, and awareness is the first step toward healing. When it erupts in your life, you must stop doing whatever is causing it, and start doing whatever it will take to eliminate it."

I hope some of you who are struggling make the choice to choose YOU like I did a year ago. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Stay NC and keep the faith that you will get better. Because you WILL!
