Not like when I was younger

I see at work and with my friends teenage/ 20 something kids ( I am almost 50) that it is frighteningly more common and accepted these days to:
1. Have casual sex
2. Have affairs and casual sex at workplace
3. Obviously social media and dating sites are exaggerating N traits in people
4. Because of divorce rate in my age category, their younger adult kids are struggling to find
acceptance and to fill a void in their life it seems.
5. Because of the economy and parents having to work twice as hard to make living kids
are growing up without supervision, without family structure .

Narcissistic traits are on the rise.

I had a strong family unit growing up. My marriage to exH was strong until he had to go on disability and lost job he loved. When we first separated as a result of his issues back in 2010, I had nooooooo idea that workplace affairs and casual sex were so commonplace. That's why I didn't see that I was being targeted by exN.

Not sure why I getting on my soapbox today lol. Just felt like commenting.

For some reason I am spinning a lot today, thinking of exN. I think I am nervous about holidays coming up. Every time I see holiday commercial or see holiday decor in stores I get sooo anxious thinking of him spending holidays with someone else probably. ( but I am able to remember exN works EVERY holiday and hoovers every ex). I can't let thoughts of exN overshadow my holidays...as I won't fully engage in festivities with my kids. Thanks for listening to my crazy thoughts.
