No Contact update 8 months later. They don't change!

I've been NO Contact with my narc since October. He moved away in May and we argued until October when I finally went NC. I moved on, dated a couple of people, and bang, just a couple weeks ago he texts out of the blue and says hello. I thought, like others, that just replying and letting him know I've moved on was no big deal. He was respectful and made small talk for the first few times he contacted me. Then, BOOM! He asked for money. So, people, they don't change. I've changed, so I have no concern that this will lead any where. I'm not replying any more. But I thought it was a good lesson learned, just don't answer no matter how long it's been.
